When a geofence is established as a geographic boundary around a hazard or undercover operation, personnel are alerted as they enter or exit the area based on their location. The same map appears on the mobile and handheld so officers know the location of others. The officer’s icon on the CAD display changes to reflect their status: they appear with the unit icon while in the vehicle, and appear as a person while outside. The PremierOne Advanced Resource Location shows the officer both in and out of the vehicle. Mapping and geofencing are seamless, too. Personnel no longer a need to re-enter data or rerun a query when returning to their vehicle to write a report, saving time and making their job easier. Incident updates and queries run on a smartphone and are automatically available on the vehicle laptop. When personnel enter information in one device it automatically appears on all other synced devices, including what is available for dispatchers. All CAD incident information appears on both the handheld and mobile devices. ![]() ![]() PremierOne™ Handheld and PremierOne Mobile offer a seamless solution when integrated in a PremierOne Suite environment. The new reality: information can travel from device to device with you. This leads to officers not having incident updates or query access while on scene. Most officers carry smartphones but have limited access or integration to their public safety applications on the smart device. However, when the officer leaves the vehicle and MDT, they leave all that information behind and rely on voice communications or handwritten notes. With it, they have the ability to receive silent dispatch, get incident updates, run queries, and view directions.
